FIGHT
Here I stand before you, I don’t know what you want from me
I tried hard to make you see the things you weren’t meant to see
When you look into my eyes the spark is there no more
There’s an empty space upon my sleeve where my heart I once wore
I’m too old, to fight the way you want to
And I’m too old to listen to your lies
I’m too old to fight the way you want to
And I’m too old to listen to your lies
There’s no need for words coz I know exactly what you’d say
Something died in me or I moved on or my love got taken away
The truth is I don’t know but I look back and it’s just not the same
I guess that we’ve just grown apart now and there’s no one else to blame
I’m too old, to fight the way you want to
And I’m too old to listen to your lies
I’m too old to fight the way you want to
And I’m too old to listen to your lies

GOODBYE WINTER
Now when I met you, you took all the wrong out of me
Before I met you, I looked but now I see
Only used to listen, but thanks to you I now hear
My life had stalled, then you shifted me into gear
I would sacrifice anything for you
Coz in my crazy life you’re the only thing that’s true
Goodbye winter, hello summer
The clouds have gone the sky is blue
Goodbye winter, hello summer
I got all I need in you
Now when I met you, my friends all saw the change in me
Before I met you, didn’t know how strong a love could be
I was so lost in life, now I feel that I am truly found
And it’s all thanks to you; you turned my whole life upside down
Goodbye winter, hello summer
The clouds have gone the sky is blue
Goodbye winter, hello summer
I got all I need in you

NO WIN SITUATION
I walked in through the door, saw you standing there
With fire in your eyes I knew you failed to care
I guess I read things wrong, I thought I meant something
But then you sold me out and signed the next big thing
Big thing…
Seems to me that you blame me for everything
All I wanted was to turn my losses in to some wins
But it’s a no win situation
No one gets out alive
It’s a no win situation
Kissed goodbye to all my pride
So what did I do wrong? Was it something I said?
Was it my attitude or what’s inside my head?
All my intentions gone, you say we can’t be friends
Is this my scapegoat time or your means to an end?
To an end?
Seems to me that you blame me for everything
All I wanted was to turn my losses in to some wins
But it’s a no win situation
No one gets out alive
It’s a no win situation
Kissed goodbye to all my pride
Seems to me that you blame me for everything
All I wanted was to turn my losses in to some wins
But it’s a no win situation
No one gets out alive
It’s a no win situation
Kissed goodbye to all my pride

HOME
A crescent moon at night and stars so bright remind me of your eyes
I don’t feel alone when I think of you
I try hard not to be disenchanted by the road I’m on
For I know it leads to you and our home
Home, is wherever you are
Home is just another word for you
And I’m on my way home
Just to see you, be with you and hold you so tight
I live for you, adore you, this distance ain’t right
Just to tease you and please you, all through the night
You got my mind; my loves blind and you are my sight
I’m coming home
I’ve got 3 more thousand miles to go, ‘til I’m in your arms
Back to where I come from, the place that I belong
I’m so tired and weary and miss your smile, it keeps me going strong
I just need to feel close to you at home
Home, is wherever you are
Home is just another word for you
And I’m on my way home
Just to see you, be with you and hold you so tight
I live for you, adore you, this distance ain’t right
Just to tease you and please you, all through the night
You got my mind; my loves blind and you are my sight
I’m coming home

LOVE DRUG
Sometimes, sometimes I think I have a problem I can’t endure
I’ve tried, tried a doctor but she said there is no cure
At night I close my eyes and can’t relax
I guess I need to face up to these simple facts
I don’t what your love I need it
Coz you’re my drug I’m hooked on you
I don’t want your love I need it
Gotta get me another fix of you
I’m getting, I’m getting withdrawal symptoms I need to meet with you
Why can’t, why can’t other people see just what I’m going through
At night I close my eyes and can’t relax
I guess I need to face up to these simple facts
I don’t what your love I need it
Coz you’re my drug I’m hooked on you
I don’t want your love I need it
Gotta get me another fix of you

PERFECT DAY
I woke up this morning, to the sound of laughter
I think todays the day I win
The bus is waiting, my train is on time
I get into work and the boss ain’t there
Everything is going my way
I met a friend at lunchtime; he gave me money he owed me
Then he paid the bill and he wished good luck
Back into the office, I receive a pay rise
And a slap on the back for a job well done
Everything is going my way
All of this is a perfect day
I got the sun on my face and I’m feeling good
I got no troubles on my mind, my concerns are understood
I got a song in my heart and a world that’s full of luck,
I aint got time to stress and worry coz I don’t give a…
It’s now 5:30 and the bars are calling
Yeah the bars are calling out my name
After just 2 minutes I caught a woman’s eye
She came right over and bought me a drink
Everything is going my way
She asked where I lived and so I told her
She said, “Is there any chance we can go?”
Cut to the bedroom, the lights down low
She gave me the best sex of my life
Everything is going my way
All of this is a perfect day
I got the sun on my face and I’m feeling good
I got no troubles on my mind, my concerns are understood
I got a song in my heart and a world that’s full of luck,

Roll The Dice

ROLL THE DICE
All I got is nothing and nothing will do
Coz something comes from nothing and I’d give it to you
I’m lonely at the weekend and drunk Friday night
People think I’m negative but I’m all right
Roll the dice; it’s your luck
Roll the dice; it’s your luck
I’m waiting for the reason, the reason I came
The reason I can do these things without any shame
I make up lots of stories don’t know which ones are true
Can’t remember last night but that’s nothing new
Roll the dice; it’s your luck
Roll the dice; it’s your luck
Stupid is as stupid does but who is the fool?
The guy that’s out there living it or the one stuck in school
The second key it saw the lock but weren’t let in
Don’t believe in past regrets so fuck “could’ve been”
Roll the dice; it’s your luck
Roll the dice; it’s your luck

SCW
It started out as it often does with “I don’t really care”
The whispers turn straight into screams, as we argue what ain’t fair
The truth it seems was hid by lies that boiled up inside
You scream and shout and I stand still, why did I never try?
I should have been a better man; I could’ve had a better plan
I would of done much more now all I have is gone
I should have seen the warning signs, took time to read between the lines
Shoulda coulda woulda played it different but now it’s just too late
My bags are packed, your friends arrive, I load up all my things
You wipe the tears from your face as I hand back keys and rings
As I drive off, I look back and see you close the door
This part of my life is over now but I’m left still wanting more
I should have been a better man; I could’ve had a better plan
I would of done much more now all I have is gone
I should have seen the warning signs, took time to read between the lines
Shoulda coulda woulda played it different but now it’s just too late

She Said

SHE SAID
Another night goes by she said, “I’m sorry, but I have to escape this shit
Your emotional baggage just ain’t for me
And I can’t deal with all the constant excuses, they’re tearing us clear apart
Why is this a problem only I can see?”
She said, I don’t care, I don’t give a fuck no more
She said, it ain’t fair, what do you want from me?
She said, I don’t care, I don’t’ care at all no more
She said, it’s all down to me
She said I don’t belong here, you’ve changed so much, you’re not the man I knew
And these concerns won’t go away
But it’s not solely your fault coz I’m part the problem, I can’t be happy with you
I’d have to be insane to stay
She said, I don’t care, I don’t give a fuck no more
She said, it ain’t fair, what do you want from me?
She said, I don’t care, I don’t’ care at all no more
She said, it’s all down to me

Stand Up

STAND UP
Whatever I have feared in life, has shaped what I’ve become
I can’t always justify the actions I have done
Fears my only enemy, it eats me up inside
Tells me I can’t succeed, takes away my pride
Takes away my pride, takes away my pride
Stand up for something, be a fool for nothing
Live life on the edge, and try to make all your dreams come true
Stand up for something, be a fool for nothing
And be true to yourself
Try to make all your dreams come true, all your dreams come true
All your dreams come true
I fear that I can’t live solely on, the dreams I have built
It leaves me restless with an over-whelming guilt
I’m running out of time you see and time don’t wanna wait
Feel I’m doomed to fail I just can’t change my fate
Just can’t change my fate, just can’t change my fate
Stand up for something, be a fool for nothing
Live life on the edge, and try to make all your dreams come true
Stand up for something, be a fool for nothing
And be true to yourself
Try to make all your dreams come true, all your dreams come true
All your dreams come true
Lies get burned, but you still yearned and I don’t wanna be the one who
Never tries, faced the lies, don’t give up; remain so strong
Stand up for something, be a fool for nothing
Live life on the edge, and try to make all your dreams come true
Stand up for something, be a fool for nothing
And be true to yourself
Try to make all your dreams come true, all your dreams come true
All your dreams come true

TALENTLESS PUPPET
You pose in teenage magazines and mime on my TV
Appear in stupid adverts, do anything for a fee
Auto-tune corrects your voice on someone else’s song
The only saving grace in this, is in 3 months you’ll be gone
Talentless puppet, we see right through you
Manufactured, manipulated in everything you do
Talentless puppet, you whore yourself for fame
Manufactured, manipulated til we forget your name
PR teams tell you what to say, a manager picks your tracks
A stylist clothes and dresses you, kids follow you in packs
When’d you lose your dignity, you sold out from day one
Reality shows they beckon, when all is said and done
Talentless puppet, we see right through you
Manufactured, manipulated in everything you do
Talentless puppet, you whore yourself for fame
Manufactured, manipulated til we forget your name
For your first two songs, you’ll be number 1
‘Til your record label drops you and moves on…

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you tomorrow
Coz I know tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you tomorrow
Coz I know tomorrow never comes
Jump back in time and turn around and take me to the start
Coz I don’t feel like I belong, deep within your heart
I seem to be a convenience, just someone by your side
And now you have the balls to ask me how I feel inside
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you tomorrow
Coz I know tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you tomorrow
Coz I know tomorrow never comes
The time you never gave to me, swallowed me up whole
So many shedded tears for you, flooded out my soul
Through a troubled August, despair and calm did rage
Now I feel its time for me to turn another page
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you tomorrow
Coz I know tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you tomorrow
Coz I know tomorrow never comes

Warren Dean is the pseudonym of an anonymous 27 year old rock musician from London who will never fully appear in any photos, videos or any kind of promo work. The reason? Is it possible to get an unknown unsigned artist into the charts just from word of mouth/talent alone? Image is nothing, its all about the music... ... more
